Gotta give it to ya Josh… once you’ve got your mind made up, that’s it. Giants go LB in the 1st. The 10th ranked defense, with Jon Beason coming back… but the 31st ranked rushing game, with an O-line in shambles, and now after last night their starting LT with a broken leg and who knows what other damage in there. O-lineman David Diehl will not be back, pro-bowl Guard Chris Snee coming off his second IR with hip operations, Center Baas on IR again with neck, back, legs, etc. injuries… Eli with 40 sacks, more INTs than any time in his career, who got hurt last night because the O-line couldn’t sustain their blocks… and you go outside linebacker. I guess it doesn’t matter what the offense is, or needs, or how putrid they are, you’re going LB because the 10th ranked defense in the league could use another LB. Ugh.

Not sure I agree with this – wrong side of the ball Josh. Steelers have largely solved their O problems thru Bell, others averaging 29 pts/game for last 9 games. We need D in the worst way – would love to see us take either MSU’s CB Dennard or Nix from Notre Dame to allow us to put a true NT in place and move the incumbent NT McClendon to DE where his pass rush skills would allow us to fill two holes at once (Keisel almost certainly gone). Make sense?

Plenty of receivers to choose from in the later rounds, I agree we need defense in the first round! The only first round offense help we can use is OT like Greg Robinson otherwise NT or CB are the way to go

Not that we couldn’t use a ‘big’ WR, but I just don’t think that that’s the priority right now…. Of course, as all Steelers Nation knows, we will pick ‘best player available’ anyway, although I am not sure we still have that luxury. Perhaps a bigger priority than the draft would be dumping Woodley and his exorbitant contract to free up money to KEEP JASON WORILDS and REWARD CRAIG HEYWARD. Those should be our big internal efforts IMO. With a few draft picks here and there and given that we finished 8-4 this year,I think we will be well on our way back to the SB picture.

“Carr is a player that has the strong arm Rob Chudzinski would like to have in his vertical passing offense…”

Except for the fact that Chud was fired yesterday.

This was started before the Chud news.

well if oakland HAS to take jadeveon clowney then they MUST ABSOLUTELY MUST PURSUE GREG HARDY WITH EVERYTHING THEY HAVE

  • Chris

I only see the Raiders taking Clowney if and this is a big if, we can get someone like Cousins for cheap from Washington. Otherwise we need to take a QB first.

  • Darius Cassell

Im liking Aaron Donald in the first round for the Steelers wide receiver is really nit a problem for us bad choice on that one

The Eagles are definitely going for an outside pass rusher. I think they can resign Riley Cooper and maybe even Maclin, thanks to Maclin’s poor health history. I don’t think offense is a first round priority at all for Chip
