In a move that will come as a surprise to no one, Gil Brandt of NFL.com is reporting that Texas A&M Aggies star quarterback Johnny Manziel and wide receiver Mike Evans are set to enter the 2014 NFL Draft after their bowl game against the Duke Blue Devils.
Brandt shared the news on Twitter:
No surprise but Manziel and Evans will be playing final college games tomorrow, multiple sources tell me. #TAMUvsDUKE

Both Manziel and Evans are expected to be first-round picks in next year’s draft and there is a good chance that they could both hear their name called within the first fifteen overall picks. Texas A&M offensive tackle Jake Matthews will also be a high first round selection.
There was never any belief that Manziel would be returning to Texas A&M, so no one should be taken back by the news.
Considering Marcus Mariota returned to Oregon, Manziel declaring gives the 2014 draft class another top prospect at the position and he will benefit from Mariota’s decision to remain in college.
