A groin injury kept Miami Heat forward LeBron James out of the Heat’s dramatic 108-107 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers Saturday night.
It could also force him to miss Monday’s contest with the Denver Nuggets. He is listed as questionable and is considered a game-time decision.
“LeBron did some, not all,” Heat coach Erik Spoelstra told ESPN’s Kevin Arnovitz after Monday’s shootaround.
Before Monday’s game, James is going to test his groin and consult with the Heat staff to see if he will play in the game.
“It has to be a collective discussion,” Spoelstra said. “But our guys are so competitive that we also sometimes have to take the decisions out of their hands. We try to do what we feel is best big-picture, but now take the player’s opinion into consideration.”
The league’s best player is having another fantastic season. James is averaging 25.4 points, 6.9 rebounds and 6.5 assists per game.
