The Minnesota Vikings parted ways with head coach Leslie Frazier on Monday. Frazier was the team’s defensive coordinator from 2007 until 2010 when he took over as interim head coach. After the season, he was then given the job on a full-time basis. However, Frazier went just 21-32 and had only one playoff appearance with the Vikings.
Quinn had helped the Seahawks remain one of the top defenses in all of football after taking over for Gus Bradley, who left to become the head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars, before the start of the 2013 season.
Quinn was plucked from the Florida Gators where he worked as Will Muschamp’s defensive coordinator in 2011 and 2012, helping turn the Gators into of college football’s premiere defenses during his time there.
Most of Quinn’s work has come in the NFL. He worked as an NFL defensive line coach from 2003 until he was hired by the Gators. He worked for the San Francisco 49ers, Miami Dolphins, New York Jets and the Seahawks during that span.
