Thunder's Kendrick Perkins likes the 'mean' Kevin Durant

No player in the NBA is known more for their menacing scowl than that of Oklahoma City Thunder big man, Kendrick Perkins.

That gruff attitude is apparently rubbing off on forward Kevin Durant who’s recently been mean mugging anybody who attempts to impede his game, including a nasty throw-down on best friend James Harden last week.

Perkins has noticed the change in his teammate, suggesting he likes the new ‘mean’ Kevin Durant:

“He feel like he got to come and set the tone, and he doing that,” said Kendrick Perkins. “I’m liking the mean KD; giving stare downs when he’s dunking on people. I’m rolling with that.”

The shy, somewhat reserved Durant we’ve seen in seasons gone by has been replaced with a more confident, stronger and vocal talent who has emerged as a leader both on and off the court for the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Now all we need is for Perkins and Durant to star in their own crime fighting Saturday morning cartoon.
