On Tuesday, the 10-3 Conference-USA Champion Rice Owls will take on the 6-6 Mississippi State Bulldogs of the Southeastern Conference.

Rice made a statement to Conference-USA and the entire nation in 2013 that they’re a program that’s thriving. They went 7-1 in conference play, including a convincing win over a talented Marshall Thundering Herd team in the championship game. They come into this one riding the momentum of a four-game winning streak.

Speaking of momentum, Mississippi State comes in with some of that as well after an emotional Thanksgiving night Egg Bowl win over the rival Ole Miss Rebels. Although, you still have to wonder how many more of these sub-par finishes the Bulldogs fan base will endure before they begin to want more.

A New Years Eve bowl win may calm some of that a little bit.

Here’s how you can watch all the action on Tuesday as it unfolds:

Date: Dec. 31

Start Time: 4 PM ET

Location: Memphis, TN

Stadium: Liberty Bowl

TV Info: ESPN

Live Stream: WatchESPN app
