The 2013 Chick-Fil-A Bowl will be played on Tuesday night and it may bring us the final time we’ll get to see one of the most exciting players in college football history play at this level when the Texas A&M Aggies take on the Duke Blue Devils.
Many are wondering if this will be the final time that we will see the dynamic Johnny Manziel on a collegiate field, and reports began to surface on Monday that it will be as he’ll be announcing his declaration for the 2014 NFL Draft not too long after the game, along with WR Mike Evans. He wasn’t able to repeat his Heisman performance from 201 when he first captivated our attention, but he was a finalist, meaning he was once again among the elite in the game.
Duke comes in as the surprise of the 2013 college football season. They were able to win 10 games, including a win over the Miami Hurricanes, and eventually ended up as champions of the Coastal Division of the ACC. They weren’t overcome the juggernaut that is the top-ranked Florida State Seminoles, but they still had maybe the best overall season in school history under David Cutcliffe.
