One of the best high school running backs in the country will make one school in Florida very happy on Tuesday night.
Dalvin Cook, who is listed as a five-star prospect by 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings, originally committed to the Clemson Tigers. In April, the 5’11, 190 lb. Miami Central star decided to flip his commitment to the Florida Gators.
Over the last few months, Cook’s commitment has been shaky at best. Both the Florida State Seminoles and the hometown Miami Hurricanes have continued to recruit Cook. Cook’s high school teammate, Joseph Yearby, was once committed to the Seminoles, but views himself as a solid Miami Hurricane commitment now.
Despite that connection, Cook is not expected to choose the Hurricanes and will reportedly pick either the Gators or the Seminoles.
Cook was originally supposed to announce his decision at some point during Thursday night’s Under Armor All-American Game, which he will be playing in. However, that plan has fallen through. Instead, Gator Country’s Andrew Spivey is reporting Cook will be committing at 7:00 pm EST Tuesday night on ESPNU.
Cook’s grandmother, who has played a heavy part in his recruitment, informed Spivey of the news.
