Behind a monster game from Paul Millsap, the Atlanta Hawks rallied to defeat the Boston Celtics 92-91 on Tuesday afternoon.

Millsap scored 34 points, pulled down 15 rebounds, dished out two assists, blocked two shots and recorded two steals. Jeff Teague added 16 points, six rebounds and five assists.

Not Celtics’ starter scored in double figures, but the bench produced. Kelly Olynyk had 21 points, five assists four rebounds and two blocks, Kris Humphries had 18 points and 10 rebounds and Courtney Lee had 11 points.

The Celtics extended their fourth quarter lead to 11 after a three-pointer by Olynk and two free throws to Humphries with just 6:28 to play when Millsap, who had been getting his final rest, returned to the game. The Hawks responded with a 14-2 run to give them an 86-85 advantage with 3:02 to play. The two teams went back and forth until the Hawks took a one-point lead on two Teague free throws with 1:30 to go. Neither team scored again. Jordan Crawford, who scored just eight points on three-of-15 shooting, had two chances to win the game on the final possession, but his three-pointer and 10-footer were both off of the mark.

The Hawks are now 18-14 while the Celtics are 13-18.
