Peyton Manning’s stats for the season are legendary. He said that Dan Marino’s 48 touchdowns in a single season record was a far more impressive than his record breaking total because Marino’s record stood for twenty years. Who knows if these numbers will be broken next season or twenty years from now but at this point they look pretty friggin good. Peyton threw 55 touchdowns and 10 interceptions to go along with 5,477 yards for a 115.1 passer rating. In fact, the only stats on Peyton’s line that aren’t impressive are his negative 31 rushing yards. Somehow the Broncos still managed to wrap up the top seed in the AFC playoffs and home field advantage without the rushing talents of Peyton Manning.
