Steve Spurrier on Florida: "The Gators finally figured it out..."

Never at a loss for words, South Carolina head coach Steve Spurrier took the opportunity to tweak the Florida Gators just a little bit in regards to their new offensive coordinatorKurt Roper.  Florida is looking to rebuild an offense that has gotten to historical lows for the program and one of the worst seasons the team has ever had.

Roper helped David Cutcliffe in building up the Duke Blue Devils program.  The hope is that Roper has really learned how to develop the quarterback position in his time with Cutcliffe.

Florida is never hurting for the ability to bring in talented athletes and prospects at the position, but they have not had as much luck in developing them.  If Roper can improve that position, the scope of the Florida program improves significantly and they hope they can get right back into the thick of things in the SEC East.  There are plenty of people in and around Gainesville, who would really like to get back to beating the Gamecocks on a regular basis before Spurrier retires.
