In this year’s edition of the Capital One Bowl, the South Carolina Gamecocks of the Southeastern Conference will take the field to square off against the Wisconsin Badgers of the Big Ten.

This will more than likely be the last collegiate game for South Carolina’s defensive end, Jadeveon Clowney, who introduced himself to the nation during last year’s bowl season with his vicious hit on Michigan running back Vincent Smith. The Gamecocks come in at 10-2 on the season, and were the only team to defeat the SEC East champion Missouri Tigers during the regular season, after yet another gritty performance by their starting QB, Connor Shaw.

Wisconsin too had a great season at 9-3, although they should probably have a similar 10-win record to their opponent, having been jobbed by the officiating crew in the waning moments of their loss to Arizona State earlier in the season. Nonetheless, under first-year head coach Gary Andersen, the Badgers rolled through the conference once again behind the dynamic rushing duo of Melvin Gordon and James White.
