New Years Day brings us a showdown between the Iowa Hawkeyes of the Big Ten Conference and the LSU Tigers of the Southeastern Conference in the 2014 Outback Bowl.

Under head coach Kirk Ferentz, the Hawkeyes had another solid year in the Big Ten, finishing 8-4 on the season and 5-3 overall in the conference behind a very good defensive effort. What was more impressive was how they were able to finish strong despite a slow start to the year.

LSU had what maybe some would consider a down year for them, however they had a lot to replace, especially on the defensive side of the ball. They got progressively better as the season went on, and will now look for huge momentum going into next year with a bowl win.

Here’s how you can watch all the action of the Outback Bowl live on New Years Day:

Date: Jan. 1

Start Time: 1 PM ET

Location: Tampa, FL

Stadium: Raymond James Stadium

Live Stream: WatchESPN app
