A.J. McCarron has not made decision on Senior Bowl according to his mom

In light of the reports that quarterback A.J. McCarron had decided not to attend the Reese’s Senior Bowl, his mom, Dee Dee McCarron, who responded on twitter.  McCarron is currently preparing to lead the Alabama Crimson Tide against the Oklahoma Sooners in the Allstate Sugar Bowl.

McCarron is among a list of players who have been invited to participate in this year’s rendition of the Senior Bowl and one of the few outstanding invites that has not been confirmed at this point.  The Senior Bowl is not only an All-Star game to celebrate the achievements of the best senior college players in the country, but it also developed into a big event for the NFL Draft.  The teams are coached by NFL personnel and almost the entire league descends on Mobile to talk to players and see how these guys practice.

It has proven to be an extremely valuable experience for a number of prospects in the past, providing a spring board in the NFL Draft.  The other part of this is that McCarron is from Mobile in addition to playing for Alabama, so the event would really like him to go because of the amount of fans who would want to go to the game to see him play.
