Jadeveon Clowney officially declares for 2014 NFL Draft

The South Carolina Gamecocks capped off their third consecutive 11-win season on Wednesday afternoon, with a 34-24 victory over the Wisconsin Badgers in the 2014 Capital One Bowl. It was believed by many that this would be the final collegiate game of star defensive end Jadeveon Clowney’s collegiate career and he confirmed that on the field following the win.

“It’s been great, man … I will miss everything about Carolina and I will miss everyone here,” Clowney said while speaking with ESPN after the game.

In case that left any questions, Clowney responded with “Yes sir” after he was directly asked if that comment was him officially declaring for the 2014 NFL Draft.

The only thing that we will need to figure out next is just how high Clowney will be selected.

Clowney is believed to be a lock for a top five selection and the Houston Texans could make him the No. 1 overall pick if they would like to team him up with J.J. Watt to create one of the fiercest defensive end duos in the league.

How high do you think Clowney will be selected? Sound off in the comments section below.
