The Michigan State Spartans aren’t a team known for an offense that’s going to leave you breathless, but they can definitely run the ball, that’s no secret.

In the 2014 Rose Bowl, running back Jeremy Langford has proven that once again as he’s amassed over 80 yards on this tough Stanford defensive unit on the afternoon. He’s also found the end zone once, helping keep his team in this one after they fell behind 17-7 early.

But late in the third quarter, he made a crucial mistake.

With under four minutes to go in the third quarter, Langford took the ball on a first down play and burst through the middle. He was then met by star Cardinal LB Shayne Skov who forced a fumble which was recovered by his teammate, Josh Mauro:

Just as we all suspected, this game has been filled with some of the best defensive players in the country making some tremendous, heads-up plays.

Unfortunately for the Cardinal, though, they weren’t able to capitalize and turn this into any points.
