The South Carolina Gamecocks got a win in the Capital One Bowl in Orlando on New Year’s Day. During the trophy presentation the Gamecocks head coach Steve Spurrier decided to take a shot at the Clemson Tigers out of no where.

The trophy presenter, Kevin Borgmann of Capital One, tries to hand Spurrier the trophy. He puts the microphone down on the table and grabs the trophy. Meanwhile, Spurrier grabs the microphone off the table and decides to wing it.

It makes for an awkward moment when he tries to hand Spurrier the trophy but his hands are occupied with the microphone. He starts by thanking all the South Carolina fans for coming down to Florida to the game and says they were the difference in the game.

Then he decides to take a shot at Clemson, who is waiting to play in the Orange Bowl, you know the BCS Bowl. He says the two Capital One Bowls in a row is nice, but the state championship “ain’t bad either.”
