One of the main reasons that the Baylor Bears were so successful was that their QB, Bryce Petty, was one of the more efficient pocket passers in the nation. He can stand in the pocket and pick apart a defense like no other, and he throws one of the better deep balls in the game.
Tonight, we all expected that to be on display in the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl as Petty and the Bears take on the Central Florida Knights of the American Athletic Conference.
Instead, we were treated to one of the more entertaining rushing touchdowns by a quarterback this year.
With his team down 21-13 late in the second quarter, Petty took the ball off the right side and dashed for the end zone. He was met at the goal line immediately, but was able to get in and get the points after this amazing flip:
Now I can assure you that no one thought that they would see that from Petty of all people tonight, if ever for that matter. But this game has been firing on all cylinders so far tonight, so why not?
