Through almost an entire quarter of play, the Baylor Bears high powered offense was fizzling and the 14-0 lead they likely expected to have was entirely in the hands of the UCF Knights. Not a lot of people had that bet when the game began, but the Bears weren’t about to just curl up in a ball and cry about it.
Running back Lache Seastrunk ripped off a huge run that helped set the Bears up deep in Knights territory. The next few plays helped get the Bears into the endzone and narrow the UCF lead to just 14-7.
The game has already looked like it will become a shootout to end all shootouts, and while the Knights have shown they can hang with the big boys of the BCS, the Bears have an offense you don’t want to motivate into scoring a lot of points, which seems to be the case so far.
