As underclassmen continue to declare, there are some big names that have not made their decisions. One of those is Central Florida quarterback Blake Bortles. According to Gil Brandt, Bortles is awaiting his feedback from the NFL Draft Advisory Board before he makes his decision. Bortles is regarded as one of the top quarterback prospects and there are some arguing he could be the top pick in the entire draft.
For the moment, Bortles’ focus is on the Baylor Bears and the Fiesta Bowl. This is the biggest game in the history of either program and a win would be huge for not only Bortles but everyone in and around the UCF program. A big game against Baylor certainly would not hurt Bortles’ cause for the NFL Draft.
This could end up coming down to a shootout between Bortles and Baylor quarterback Bryce Petty, who has said he will stay at Baylor for his senior year. Players have until the 15th of January to decide.
