Although they were not their usual selves in the first half of the Allstate Sugar Bowl against the Oklahoma Sooners, I don’t think anyone had a doubt in their minds that the Alabama Crimson Tide were going to make a run in the second half.
And that they have certainly did.
After a few stops of Oklahoma in the second half by the Tide defense, it was time for the offense to do their part, and they did. To do their part in the third quarter, they called upon their future star running back, Derrick Henry.
Even though T.J. Yeldon is the starter, freshman Derrick Henry may in fact be the best running back on the team. He was highly touted out of high school and is proving his worth tonight.
With just under nine minutes to go in the third quarter, they gave the ball to Henry who burst 43 yards through the middle all the way to the end zone to pull Alabama to within seven:
