Like so many of the top prospects in the class of 2014, versatile wide receiver Speedy Noil is from Louisiana.
Noil attends Edna Karr High School in New Orleans.
Noil is a fantastic wide receiver and is considered the top prospect at his position, the third-best player in the state of Louisiana and the 11th best player overall in the class of 2014, according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.
Noil doesn’t have ideal size (5’10, 176 lbs.), but he is a big time playmaker.
The hometown LSU Tigers and Texas A&M Aggies have appeared to be the favorites throughout the majority of the process.
On Thursday during the Under Armour All-American Game, Noil announced that he would be attending Texas A&M.
That is big news for the Aggies because Mike Evans announced he would be declaring for the NFL draft Thursday.
Noil told ESPN that Texas A&M “felt like home” and that current Texas A&M and former Edna Karr defensive back Noel Ellis “has been like a brother” to him. Noil also told ESPN he could not wait to play with Ellis.
Although the Aggies struggled to a 9-4 record this season, head coach Kevin Sumlin is putting together another fantastic recruiting class.
