Just when you think news couldn’t get any worse for the Brooklyn Nets – it does.

This news doesn’t have anything to do with locker room conflicts or leaving the floor early, but rather injury.

Oft-injured point guard Deron Williams has been relatively infective for the vast majority of the season (when he’s been on the floor) and now the Illini product is dealing with an undisclosed injury, which he refuses to comment on:

Deron Williams confirmed that he’s dealing with an injury but didn’t want to discuss it. It’s clearly affecting his game.

Speculation has suggested it’s Williams’ bum ankle causing the poor play, but without Williams or the Nets elaborating we don’t really know what’s causing the struggles.

Regardless, it’s the last thing the Nets needed considering their already sub-par play.

Williams said he’s playing through the injury so there’s little to talk about, but if he is forced to miss time, Shaun Livingston will take over his minutes.

The former All-Star point guard has three years and $60 million left on the books.
