We’ve officially begun the 2014 year which means that all those 2015 movies we’re looking forward to will begin shooting at certain points during this year. One of those movies is Batman vs. Superman which went crazy with casting in 2013, but the casting dominos may not be done falling.
While Ben Affleck and Gal Gadot have been the most high profile additions to the cast as Batman and Wonder Woman respectively, it seems that Warner Bros isn’t done casting the film just yet and might still reach into their bag of big names to kick off 2014 the right way.
It’s growing increasingly likely that Batman vs. Superman may end up becoming a Justice League movie and twice in a short amount of time we’ve heard actors rumored for the part of Green Lantern. The first name was Denzel Washington but now Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s name has been kicked around according to Peter Georieou.
Rumor: I didn’t hear this directly, but it’s floating around behind the scenes in the industry: @TheRock is up for Jon Stewart. Shrugs.

The likelihood that this casting decision would fly with fans of Batman, Superman or Green Lantern is not very high, and the rumor is even less than rumor since Georgiou apparently heard it second-hand. But the real thing to take from this is that Green Lantern has been brought up yet again in a short amount of time, which continues to lend to the speculation that the tentatively titled Batman vs. Superman will instead become a Justice League movie.
