South Carolina Gamecocks defensive end Jadeveon Clowney announced after the Capital One Bowl game win that he would be entering the 2014 NFL draft.

“It’s been great. We’ve put everything into this,” Clowney said, via CBS Sports. “I’ll miss everything about Carolina. I love it here.”

Now, his amateurism has officially ended when he signed with BC Sports.

Clowney is projected as the No. 1 prospect on the big board and is expected to be one of the first players off the board. He had a tumultuous season at times bumping heads with head coach Steve Spurrier over sitting out a game.

Despite being projected that highly, he might not be the first player off the board. Houston Texans have the first pick and need a quarterback desperately. Pairing him opposite of J.J. Watt would be an incredible defensive front.
