On Wednesday night, John Wall and his Washington Wizards hosted Vince Carter and his Dallas Mavericks.

For whatever reason, things were extraordinarily chippy throughout the game which lead to Wall continually talking to Carter.

The young guard posted Carter up in the paint and then used a spin move to bust away from his coverage, laying in a relatively easy layup over a help defender but John Wall wanted Carter to know who schooled him. So after Wall laid in the bucket, he got right into the face of the former North Carolina product and could be seen talking trash while beating his chest with his arm.

That didn’t exactly irritate Carter, who let Wall finish his spiel before cracking a smile and laughing it all off.

Wall, complete with a bandage over his eye, didn’t seem to think the moment was as funny as he could be seen scowling as he ran back up the court.

It didn’t help though as the Mavericks beat Washington, 87-78.
