There were some rumors circulating on Thursday afternoon that the Texas Longhorns may have their eye on UCLA Bruins head coach Jim Mora, but those can now be put to rest. On Friday morning, it was announced that Mora has agreed to sign a new six-year deal with the Bruins to remain as the team’s head coach.
Bruce Feldman of CBS Sports passed along the news:

Mora, who is a University of Washington graduate, was also connected to the Huskies head coaching vacancy after Steve Sarkisian bolted for the USC Trojans, but now Washington will need to look elsewhere as well.
Congratulations to the Bruins for locking up their head coach for the foreseeable future and allowing the team to focus on preparing on next season and avoiding any further distractions.
