Following an awkward landing after a shot in Michigan’s 63-60 win over Minnesota, Wolverines forward Glenn Robinson III left the game with an ankle injury. The injury occurred during the second half of the game, and Robinson didn’t return to the court after leaving.
He was seen running on the sideline when he came back to the bench, but it wasn’t enough to get him in the game. From ESPN,
“He did something with that ankle,” coach John Beilein said after the game. “I’m not sure what it is. He tried to run down the hallway. He tried to run on the sideline. … Why make it worse?”
Michigan’s next game is on Sunday, as the Wolverines will take on Northwestern. It is uncertain if Robinson will be ready to suit up and play on Sunday, but coach Beilein is trying to look at the situation with an optimistic outlook. However, he knows it won’t be as easy as he hopes.
“We’ve got a lot of work to do to get him rehabbed and get him ready for Sunday,” he said.
