Although trade talks between the Los Angeles Lakers and Cleveland Cavaliers have stalled, that doesn’t mean other trades for Andrew Bynum aren’t on the table.
That’s the word from Yahoo Sports on Friday afternoon as Adrian Wojnarowski reports the Cavaliers are mulling over multiple trade offers:
Cavs mulling a few trade scenarios for Andrew Bynum, with target of Monday to choose one. Unlikely Cavs send out significant asset w/ Bynum.
Wojo doesn’t go on to elaborate nor does he suggest if any of those offers include any type of deal with the Lakers, who’ve seemingly been the most active in talks for Bynum.
The deadline on Monday would give the acquiring team one day to waive Bynum, who will instantly become cap relief due to his $12 million dollar contract having a $6 million dollar buyout if waived by January 7th.
In addition to the Lakers, rumors have suggested the Boston Celtics, Chicago Bulls, Atlanta Hawks and the Memphis Grizzlies as potential landing destinations.
If no trade is made, the Cavaliers are expected to release Bynum on Tuesday.
