The Toronto Raptors couldn’t sell off point guard Kyle Lowry fast enough a few weeks ago. But ever since they traded Rudy Gay, the wins have been piling up and the Raptors now have an opportunity to win the Atlantic Division and barring a meltdown, should at minimum find themselves in the playoff hunt.
That has lead to the Raptors potentially keeping Lowry, who has suddenly become one of the most in-demand assets around the league.
According to CBS Sports, multiple teams including the Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks, Brooklyn Nets, Minnesota Timberwolves and Golden State Warriors have all expressed trade interest in Lowry:
In addition to the Lakers, Knicks and Nets, the Timberwolves, Warriors and Celtics are among the teams that have inquired about a deal with the Raptors for Lowry, league sources say.
Lowry is a free agent at season end and it’s unlikely the Raptors will have much interest in bringing him back at season end, so despite the winning ways, the team could still opt to deal him if they find a deal beneficial.
