The Toronto Raptors defeated the Washington Wizards 101-88 at the Verizon Center in Washington DC. The Raptors improved to 16-15, and the Wizards fell to 14-16.
Toronto led by 23 points to begin the fourth quarter, and coasted to a victory against Washington. The win is Toronto’s fifth in a row.
Point guard Kyle Lowry registered a double-double with 19 points and 11 assists. He also grabbed five boards and three steals. Lowry out-dueled Washington point guard John Wall, who only managed 11 points, six assists, and two steals.
DeMar DeRozan added 20 points and five assists for the Raptors, and Patrick Patterson netted 18 points along with four rebounds. Amir Johnson finished with 17 points and seven rebounds, and Terrence Ross scored 14 points to round out a solid scoring attack for Toronto. The Raptors shot 50.6% (40 of 79) from the field, and made 11 three-pointers.
Nene Hilario led the Wizards with 15 points along with four rebounds. Bradley Beal scored 12 points, collected five rebounds, and dropped five dimes. Martell Webster added 12 points, and Trevor Booker finished with eight points and 13 rebounds.
