With a plethora of head coaching vacancies at not only the collegiate level, but the professional level as well, one name that has garnered the most interest it seems is that of Vanderbilt Commodores head coach James Franklin, whose team is participating in their bowl game on Saturday against Houston.
But, once that game is over, some of these teams are going to want to have a discussion with Franklin and his representatives and you can now add the Washington Redskins to that list, according to Adam Schefter.
Vanderbilt HC James Franklin, who interviewed for Texans HC job two weeks ago, has gotten requests to interview with Redskins and Browns.

The Redskins slot was opened up by the firing of Mike Shanahan after four seasons on the job, and the Browns fired Rob Chudzinski on Sunday night, just hours after the teams loss to the Steelers, after just one season on the job.
At the collegiate level, Franklin’s name has been tied mostly to the Penn State opening, following the departure of Bill O’Brien.
