Memphis Grizzlies at Denver Nuggets final score: Nuggets beat Grizzlies 111-108

The Denver Nuggets defeated the Memphis Grizzlies 111-108 at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado.  The Nuggets improved to 15-17, and the Grizzlies fell to 14-18.

Denver put an end to its eight game losing streak with a win over the Grizzlies.

Ty Lawson led the way for the Nuggets with 18 points, 12 dimes, and three steals. Timofey Mozgov chipped in a respectable 16 points, seven rebounds, and two blocks.  Kenneth Faried netted 16 points and six rebounds.  Nate “The Great” Robinson scored 15 with seven assists, and Randy Foye finished with 13 points, seven rebounds, and four assists.

Each starter for the Grizzlies scored in double digits.  Zach Randolph had a stellar 25 points and 13 rebounds.  Mike Conley added 23 points, eight assists, and four steals.  Tayshaun Prince scored 13 points along with four rebounds, and three assists.

The Grizzlies made the game interesting with a minute to go.  Prince knocked down a three that was answered by Ty Lawson to keep it a six point game. Memphis then scored on consecutive possessions to narrow the deficit to two points.  After Nate Robinson made one of two free throws to make it a three point game, Mike Miller‘s last chance three missed, giving the Nuggets the W.

Next game: The Nuggets play at the LA Lakers on Sunday at 9:30 pm ET.  The Grizzlies play at Detroit on Sunday at 1 pm ET.
