Earlier on Saturday, there was a report that Miami Hurricanes head coach Al Golden was preparing to inform his current players that he would be departing Coral Gables to return to his alma mater of Penn State after interviewing with the Nittany Li0ns on Saturday.
If this is the case, then Miami athletic director Blake James isn’t aware of it as he sent a text message to the Miami Herald where he says that he expects Golden to be the team’s leader going forward.

Golden has been named as a top candidate in Happy Valley ever since the job became available last weekend when it was revealed that Bill O’Brien would be heading off to take over the Houston Texans.
Within the last few days, the reports have been back and forth about the Penn State opening and Golden. You can just add this to the list as the Penn State-Al Golden soap opera commences.
