The Oklahoma State Cowboys lost to the Missouri Tigers in close Cotton Bowl match up. After the game as usual, Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy took the stand to address the media.

Gundy has been known to make some interesting comments from the podium. He is particularly famous for his “I’m 40, I’m a man” rant at a reporter.

Earlier this year Sports Illustrated ran a scathing report about the Oklahoma State football program and impermissible benefits. The report was largely scrutinized for its facts and many of those quoted in the article questioned the author’s tactics and reporting.

After the Cotton Bowl, a Sports Illustrated reporter asked Gundy about the game, particularly regarding which quarterback they prepared for. Gundy paused after the question to ask where the reporter was from, and when he repeated Sports Illustrated Gundy simply replied “sweet.”

There was some laughter at first, then Gundy advised him to “make sure you document this so you have all your research and background” before answering the question.
