The Phoenix Suns have been the most pleasant surprise the NBA has seen this season, though their good fortune has hit a mild bump in the road as star guard Eric Bledsoe will miss time with injury.

Bledsoe, who suffered a sprained knee in a recent game was hoping to play through the injury but head coach Jeff Hornacek said the team was taking no chances with the guard, who will reportedly miss at least a week of action:

While Gerald Green is taking his place in the lineup, it’s likely that Goran Dragic will see a boost in numbers as he’s likely to take on a bigger load in Bledsoe’s absence.

The hope is that the former Kentucky Wildcat will be able to return in just a few games but knee sprains can be a tricky recovery, which is why the team decided to take the a cautious route with Bledsoe.
