Miami Hurricanes head coach Al Golden, after a weather delay on Friday, interviewed with the Penn State Nittany Lions on Saturday in regards to filling their current head coaching vacancy created by the departure of Bill O’Brien to the Houston Texans after just two seasons.
It appears that everything went well on Saturday as it’s reported that Golden will inform his Miami players that he will be leaving Coral Gables to go home to Happy Valley and lead the Lions.

This report literally comes on the heels of another potential candidate, Mike Munchak, being fired from his current position as head coach of the Tennessee Titans.
Golden has been the head coach of the Miami Hurricanes since the 2011 season where he took the program over in the middle of the Nevin Shapiro investigation. Prior to that he was the head coach of the Temple Owls where reports began to surface that he had aspirations of taking over his alma mater when Joe Paterno would not longer be there.
Now, it seems that Golden has finally gotten his dream job.
