Zach Makovsky vs. Josh Sampo verbally agreed for UFC 170

The fight card for next month’s UFC 170 event is filling up quickly, with the latest addition being a flyweight battle between some of the promotion’s most exciting new additions, Zack Makovsky and Josh Sampo.

According to Damon Martin of FOX Sports, the bout has not yet been made officially but the two men have verbally agreed to the meeting.

Makovsky, the former Bellator bantamweight champion, was successful in his UFC with a win over Scott Jorgensen and is currently riding a three-fight winning streak, while Sampo is looking to build on a five-fight winning streak of his own.

UFC 170 takes place Feb. 22 at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. The event is headlined by a UFC women’s bantamweight title fight between champion Ronda Rousey and undefeated contender Sara McMann.
