Penn State to interview former Titans HC Mike Munchak

The Tennessee Titans have parted ways with head coach Mike Munchak. It didn’t take long for him to land on his feet, he has been scheduled for an interview with Penn State for their vacant head coaching position after Bill O’Brien left to join the Houston Texans.

ESPN’s Chris Mortensen had the report:

When they were looking for a successor for Joe Paterno, Munchak was a candidate. He was really torn with the decision at the time, and eventually elected to stay with the Titans.

He loves his school and his heart is torn,” a source told ESPN’s Joe Schad at the time. “He really fits what they want and need to a tee.”

It could happen this time.
