Arkansas defensive end Trey Flowers has decided to return for his senior year in Fayetteville. The talented pass rusher said he received a third round grade from the NFL Draft Advisory Board and wanted to come back and improve upon it. This is good news for Arkansas as they are already going to lose Chris Smith, the team’s other end to graduation.
Matt Miller of Bleacher Report had reported that Flowers was going to declare, so this came as a pleasant surprise for the Razorback fans worried they were going to lose both defensive ends this year. Flowers and Smith were one of the few bright spots on a 3-9 Arkansas team that did not win a single game in the SEC this year. In addition to recruiting and development, having a player like Flowers return will help them try to fight back and improve in the SEC West next season.
