BCS National Championship 2014: Jameis Winston loses crucial fumble

The Auburn Tigers were able to jump out to an early 14-3 lead over the No. 1-ranked Florida State Seminoles in the BCS National Championship game, but Florida State had an opportunity to close the gap after Auburn missed a field goal attempt.

Unfortunately for the Seminoles, Jameis Winston continued his first-half struggles and was stripped of the ball as he attempted to scramble out of the pocket.

The result was Auburn’s ball deep inside of Florida State opportunity with a chance to jump out to a huge lead with five minutes to go in the half and they did just that. After a Nick Marshall touchdown run, the Tigers lead 21-3.
