The Denver Nuggets dismantled the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday night – much of the abuse coming from pint-sized point guard Nate Robinson.
The former Washington Huskies guard spent a good portion of his evening above the rim, slamming down dunk after dunk which included a three dunk span in about two minutes of game action.
Nursing a monster lead in the final moments of the game, Robinson capped off his evening with an impressive slam thanks to a three on one alley-oop. But it wasn’t the actual oop that got the attention, rather Robinson’s essentially daring of the officials to give him a technical foul.
Robinson has blasted referees this season, suggesting they ‘hate him’ though with antics such as this, you can see why.
After the dunk, Robinson continued to hang and hang and hang on the rim. Literally, he wasn’t going to get down. The referees waited for him to release himself but he wouldn’t do so until they finally blew their whistle, assessing the point guard with a technical foul.
Not sure that’s the way you want to endear yourself to them, Nate.
