Vanderbilt Commodores head coach James Franklin has been a hot coaching candidate at the collegiate level, but he is also generating plenty of interest from the big leagues. The latest team to have interest in Franklin according to reports is the Washington Redskins.

As it appears, the Redskins will be interviewing Franklin at some point this week.

From Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network:

No one has been able to lure Franklin from Vanderbilt at this point, but the Redskins could be an intriguing option.

Sure, the team has plenty of problems with chemistry, but they have talent and are working to turn things around.

If Franklin was to leave Vanderbilt this year, it appears that either the Redskins or Penn State Nittany Lions would be the most likely to land the prized coaching candidate.
