When the United States women’s hockey team is going for gold in the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, goalie Jessie Vetter will already be sporting some real gold. Vetter, who is a candidate to start as the USA’s netminder in the Olympics, is set to have some gold leafing on her goalie mask for the special occasion.
“Around the edge of the ‘USA’ gold I used 23 karat gold leafing,” designer Ron Slater of Slater Lettering and Graphics said in an email. “Similar to what you would see on old school firetrucks as the lettering.”

The helmet also features the Olympic rings, a bald eagle and part of the Constitution.
