UCF Knights quarterback Blake Bortles declared for the 2014 NFL Draft earlier this week and he has wasted no time choosing his representation for the next level. According to NFL Draft insider Tony Pauline, Bortles has decided to sign with Rep1 agency, who also represents Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.
Conveniently enough, Bortles’ game has been viewed as similar to Roethlisberger’s by a number of NFL draft scouts.
At his size, Bortles is surprisingly mobile and able to extend plays as he gets away from opposing rushers. That is one aspect of his game that has scouts and analysts excited about what the Central Florida star could do at the next level.
Bortles is expected to be drafted within the top ten selections, where he will help to prove himself as a young signal-caller in the NFL.
Maybe one day done the line Bortles will be able to cash in on a big $100 million contract like Rep1 was able to secure for the Steelers franchise quarterback.
