Monday night in the BCS National Championship Game, Florida State redshirt freshman QB Jameis Winston capped off one of the greatest individual debut seasons in recent memory by leading the game-winning drive with under two-minutes left to beat the Auburn Tigers and dethrone the SEC.
The national championship was added to the list of his accomplishments in 2013 that include a Heisman Trophy, single-season passing yardage record at Florida State and multiple weekly awards that were given out throughout the season.
Yet with all of that considered, all most people wanted to focus on after the game was Winston’s dialect in his post-game speech. It even went as far as the mother of AJ McCarron sending out a distasteful tweet, only to retract it moments later and issue an apology. (Thankfully though, we have it for you here.)
On Tuesday, Winston answered those critics, and he did it in probably the best way possible–by pointing out that he and his team are the ones holding the crystal ball.
For the people that criticize the way that I talk this is for y’all. The Florida state Seminoles are national champions! That is all.

Once again, Winston is able to handle things in stride.
