With the Chicago Bulls trading Luol Deng to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday evening, floor time has been opened up for veteran forward, Mike Dunleavy.

He better enjoy it while he can considering he too could be one of the next Bulls to be changing zip codes.

Dunleavy, a veteran talent doesn’t have any future with the Bulls considering their ‘rebuild’ and could prove to be a valuable trade chip in the coming month before the NBA’s trade deadline in February, this according to ESPN Chicago:

Veteran Mike Dunleavy also may be dealt down the line, given his relatively cheap contract and the fact he is signed for another season after this one. But for now, he and Snell will get the bulk of Deng’s minutes.

There are always a handful of teams attempting to position themselves for a playoff run who could use a shooter like Dunleavy, so expecting him to remain with the Bulls moving forward doesn’t seem very likely.

As of now, there are no reports of who would be interested in acquiring Dunleavy.
