NBA Rumors: Lakers Nick Young thinks ‘it’s over’ if Pau Gasol is traded

For over a week, we were subjected to trade rumors surrounding the Los Angeles Lakers and Cleveland Cavaliers – a deal that would have potentially ended with Pau Gasol being traded to Cleveland.

That deal never manifested – likely due to the Lakers requesting youth and/or draft picks in a deal, a price the Cavaliers deemed too expensive.

What happens to Gasol moving forward is unknown though teammate Nick Young says it all would have been over if Los Angeles had traded their power forward on Monday night:

Nick Young: “If they got rid of Pau yesterday, they basically would’ve said it’s over. We all have faith and think something can happen.”

Wait – what?

The Lakers are currently floundering at 14-20 and will be without star Kobe Bryant for a few more weeks at minimum.

Currently five games out of the final playoff spot (and falling), it would take a minor miracle for the Lakers to climb out of such a hole in the tough Western Conference.

I think it might already be over, Swaggy P.

What, “it’s over” before the all star break!? Spoken like a sit on their seat writer that’s never competed in a sport. You should know that a true competitor NEVER says “it’s over”. GO LAKERS!!!
