NBA Trade Rumors: Philadelphia 76ers open to trading many players

The Philadelphia 76ers front office is in full tank mode. The product on the floor? Not so much. Yes, the team has a 12-22 record, but many of those losses have come without start rookie Michael Carter-Williams on the floor. With MCW, Philadelphia has looked like a different team – a formidable team. But that may be changing in the relatively near future as Alex Kennedy reports many of the players on the Sixers currently roster could be moved come the NBA’s trade deadline:

The Philadelphia 76ers are open for business. Players like Thaddeus Young, Evan Turner, Spencer Hawes and others are available.

It should be noted – Kennedy doesn’t expect the 76ers to sell at a discount price, so nobody will be coming ‘cheaply’ in a deal but nobody is unavailable either.

Young, Turner and Hawes should all draw significant interest around the league, so Philadelphia should certainly have their choice of trade partners.

The 76ers would likely like youth and draft picks in exchange – much like every other rebuilding team.

OK I get it, your rebuilding. But the Sixer’s are going to need veteran leadership and solid pieces at some point. Why not start with Evan Turner and Thaddeus Young? I understanding moving Spencer Hawes because they have the position filled for the future, but they don’t have a 2 or 3 right now. I’d like to see them take their chances with a starting 5 of MCW, Turner, Young, (future pick), and Noels. Tony Wroten, Moultrie and future pick off the bench. Like to hear anyone else’s opinion.

I didn’t realize Evan Turner and Thaddeus Young were considered old at 25. Hawes, too although he seems like the most expendable player.
