The Chicago Bulls are reportedly open for business, which has teams clamoring for their remaining talent – including the Golden State Warriors who are interested in point guard Kirk Hinrich, this according to Sam Amick of USA Today:
According to a person with knowledge of the situation, the Golden State Warriors are among teams that had been showing serious interest in Hinrich long before the Deng trade. The person spoke to USA TODAY Sports on the condition of anonymity because trade talks are typically private.
The Golden State Warriors have been talking to teams for weeks (possibly even months) in hopes of improving their backup point guard situation.
Recent reports had linked them to Andre Miller of the Denver Nuggets, though Hinrich would certainly prove to be a more valuable acquisition given his age.
It’s unknown what the price tag on Hinrich is, but with his contract set to expire at season end, he shouldn’t be too costly considering he’s nothing more than a rental at this point.
